Another day brings another recall from Tesla. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has alerted almost 700,000 Tesla vehicle owners about an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system's warning light, as detailed by the Associated Press.
This recall impacts the 2024 Cybertruck, as well as Model 3 vehicles from 2017 to 2025 and Model Y vehicles from 2020 to 2025. The NHTSA has indicated that the warning light for the tire pressure monitoring system may not stay lit consistently between drives.
Tesla plans to address this problem with an over-the-air update for the affected vehicles, and owners will receive notification letters by February 15, 2025.
Over the past year, Tesla has faced a significant number of recalls and over-the-air updates. The NHTSA reported that there have been seven recalls for the Cybertruck in the last 12 months to fix issues related to the rear-view camera, malfunctioning windshield wipers, and loose trunk beds. Additionally, Tesla rolled out an over-the-air update in June addressing safety concerns for 1.8 million vehicles, including select Model 3, Model S, Model X, and Model Y vehicles from various production years due to hoods that might detach if not properly closed.
