Google Street View has recently played a crucial role in resolving a missing person case in Spain. Reports from the BBC and The New York Times revealed that a specific Street View image shows what appears to be an individual placing a large object into a car's trunk. Additionally, another image captured someone moving a sizable white bundle using a wheelbarrow.
 
 Authorities discovered human remains of the missing person buried in a cemetery located in Soria province, deploying advanced investigative techniques to locate them. During their search, investigators stumbled upon images on a location search application, which became a vital clue, albeit not the sole factor leading to the case's resolution.
 
 Although the police did not specify which application was used, a representative from the Spanish National Police confirmed to The New York Times that it was indeed Google Maps. They added that while the image was significant, it was not the definitive element in cracking the case.
 
 The investigation focused on a 33-year-old man who vanished last year while visiting a partner in the town of Tajueco, Soria. In November, police apprehended a woman and her former partner concerning the case.
 
 Google Maps has previously assisted law enforcement, including a 2022 incident where Italian authorities utilized Street View to trace a mafia fugitive's location.
