Asus has revealed the Asus NUC 14 Pro AI, distinguished as the first AI mini PC with Copilot Plus capability. This compact device boasts an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and has a design akin to a black M4 Mac Mini. While it was initially showcased at IFA in September, additional specifications have been disclosed; however, Asus has yet to announce the availability date or pricing for the product.
The NUC 14 Pro AI will be available in five different CPU configurations, starting with the Core Ultra 5 226V that includes 16GB of integrated RAM, to the more powerful Core Ultra 9 288V featuring 32GB of RAM. The device promises impressive performance with up to 67 TOPS of GPU power and 48 TOPS for the Neural Processing Unit (NPU). Additionally, it supports NVMe SSDs, ranging from 256GB to 2TB, thanks to its M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 x 4 slot.
This mini PC is compact, measuring 130mm in both depth and width and standing just 34mm tall, making it slightly smaller than the Mac Mini, which is 127mm in depth and width but 50mm tall.
On the design front, the Asus NUC 14 Pro AI includes a fingerprint sensor on the top and a dedicated Copilot button on the front for issuing voice commands to Microsoft’s AI assistant. The front panel also features two USB-A ports, a Thunderbolt 4 port, a headphone jack, and a power button. The back is equipped with a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, an additional Thunderbolt 4 port, two more USB-A ports, and an HDMI port. For wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4.
As of now, Asus has not provided information regarding the release date or the pricing for the NUC 14 Pro AI.
